while you’re mentioning salvation army/goodwill id like to shout out Out of the Closet on Atlantic that also has gems and gives 96 cents of every dollar made to providing HIV care and services and offers free STI testing. also a fabulous (and tax deductible) place to donate clothes.

Thanks! I’d always (foolishly, in retrospect) just assumed that they only accepted/sold clothing.

Locals seem to be having mixed reactions to the new whole foods but its kind of surprising the brooklyn heights/cobble hill/carroll gardens area never had one earlier. Would be nice to have another large grocery thats not the trader joes but we’ll see how it actually plays out.

Also like Jalen brunson said, cut Taylor swift some slack already. To those who got some superiority complex against pop music, lol. Apparently she lived in nyc a while back and celebs are allowed to drop in to enjoy a game once in a while too, without being a diehard fan

OK, am I missing something? That map of Atlantic & Shith doesn't really say much. Is the bike store going to get kicked out?

My best guess is that someone is in the early stages of consolidating the lots from 282 Atlantic to the corner (Nuts Factory) and from the Yard Bar lot to the corner (Paper Source) in order to build a residential tower. I think the bike shop will be safe unless the group who owns the buildings on either side of them (Sugared & Bronze and the 5 Below/Michaels building) decide to go the development route, but the rest of their portfolio indicates they're fine with being commercial landlords for the time being.
